All members of RAJO-Peace & Development for Somalia agree on the following set of requirements:
NGO operations are peace & development oriented.

The NGO sets for peaceful settlement of differences through dialogue.
Actively participates the effort to build up modern Somali statehood.
Promotes the national Diaspora role in peace and economic recovery.
Seeks alliance with national/international institutions of equal scope of work and accepts third party involvement in nonviolent problems solving issues.
Keeps away from the fierce power struggle among clan-based factions and remains always impartial in disputed affairs.
Denounces violence as a mean to solve disputes.
Endorses the activities of any movement deserving popular support on merits, regardless to the ethnics behind it.

Pays due respect to the country’s social regulations, cultural ideals and religious values.

Selects its leading personalities and workforce (peace activists) on their personal qualities and adherence to the NGO core principals.
Liaisons the activities of the individual resettlement projects run by returning refugees.
Lays foundations for sustainable peace & development in the entire horn-region.
Maintains good relationship with aid agencies, development institutions and donor countries.
Members are considered volunteers freely offering their knowledge and services as contribution to the NGO.
